Whapay is a borderless wallet and cross-border payment platform built into WhatsApp. We enable users to send, receive, and store money across LatAm and the U.S. using local QR systems (e.g., Pix, Mercado Pago), card networks, and stablecoins like USDC.

Funds are settled instantly at real FX rates, merchants are paid in their preferred currency, and users never need to install a new app - just WhatsApp.

Already operating under the brand PixGlobal (www.pixglobal.io) - having amassed 40,000+ users and a strong presence in tourist hubs like Bariloche, Foz do Iguaçu, and Buenos Aires airports - our rebranding to Whapay is underway and will go live alongside our WhatsApp-native user experience.

Use Cases

Cross-Border Tourist Payments

Whapay enables merchants in Latin America to accept local QR payments (e.g., Pix, Mercado Pago) from international tourists while settling instantly in the merchant’s local currency or in digital dollars. A Brazilian tourist in Argentina, for example, can scan a QR using Pix, the funds are routed through our system, settled via digital dollars, and paid out to the merchant in pesos via Mercado Pago. This solves a real-world problem: cross-border spending without FX friction, high fees, or card rejections.

Cross-Border Merchant Settlement

Whapay enables merchants in Argentina and Brazil to receive instant payments from international tourists via local QR codes. Digital dollars enable settlement in a stable, transparent currency across borders. Funds are converted at real-time FX rates and off-ramped through regional partners (e.g., Bind, Ouribank, Mercado Pago), providing a seamless, compliant merchant payout experience.
