Velora (formerly ParaSwap) is an advanced intent-based trading protocol. Swap, bridge, and trade across 10+ blockchains in one seamless flow.

Velora is an intent-based trading protocol built to deliver high-performance, cross-chain execution in DeFi. It enables users to route trades like swaps, limit orders, and “super hooks” across multiple blockchains via a decentralized, agent-based architecture.

The protocol abstracts away gas costs, minimizes MEV risks, and taps into fragmented liquidity pools by aggregating real-time quotes from trusted market makers via an onchain RFQ system.

Velora also provides a robust API and SDK for dApps and wallets to integrate seamless swap functionality, backed by audit-grade security and flexible chain support.

A key innovation in Velora is Delta, a subsystem that delegates swap execution to competing settlement agents using the Portikus infrastructure. Delta optimizes trades by providing MEV protection, gas abstraction, and best-price execution without burdening the end user with technical complexity.

The protocol is already integrated with 160+ protocols across Layer-1 and Layer-2 chains (Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Sonic, Unichain, etc.), making it ideal both for retail traders and institutional use cases. Velora’s design also supports institutional partners like asset managers, lenders, brokers, and custodians to effortlessly embed DeFi swap and execution services into their offerings.

Use Cases

Cross-Chain Swaps (One-Click, Multi-Chain Execution)

Velora lets users swap assets across different blockchains in a single transaction without needing to manually bridge, switch networks, or perform multiple steps. You can trade across Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB, and Base all from inside the wallet. No bridges. No extensions. Under the hood, Velora integrates with multiple bridges (Across, Relay, CCTP) to enable swaps across 17 EVM-compatible chains in one go. This seamless cross-chain UX eliminates friction, reduces failure points, and lets users focus on what they want to do (swap A → B) rather than how it must be done.

Limit Orders & Advanced Intent-Based Trading

Rather than simply executing trades immediately, Velora supports limit orders and advanced intent types. Users can express the outcome they want (e.g. “swap X for Y when price hits Z”) and let the protocol coordinate the execution. The intent-based architecture means agents compete to fulfill that goal under the best terms. This is especially useful for users who don’t want to monitor the market 24/7 but still wish to participate in price movements or automate trading. It bridges the gap between passive strategy and active execution.

Protocol & dApp Integration via API / SDK

Velora isn’t just for end users, it offers APIs, SDKs, and widget integrations so dApps, wallets, and other DeFi protocols can embed Velora’s swap and execution capabilities natively. Because Velora abstracts gas, MEV risk, and cross-chain orchestration, third parties can offload heavy execution logic and surface a clean UX for their users. For instance, a lending platform might embed Velora so when users borrow or repay, tokens can auto-swap behind the scenes across chains for optimal liquidity and execution without leaving the platform.

Native USDC Cross-Chain Transfers with CCTP

Velora integrates Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), enabling users to move and trade native USDC seamlessly across supported blockchains. Instead of relying on wrapped or synthetic tokens, Velora uses CCTP to burn USDC on the origin chain and mint it natively on the destination chain, ensuring liquidity is always genuine and backed 1:1 by Circle. This provides safer, faster, and more cost-efficient cross-chain USDC trading, a critical feature for traders, DeFi protocols, and institutions that require reliable stablecoin settlement across multiple networks.
