Rox Custody

Built for banks, exchanges, brokers, funds, and corporates, Rox Custody delivers institutional-grade MPC security, policy engine governance, and gas station infrastructure.

Rox Custody is a regulated, institutional-grade digital asset custody platform built on Decentralized Multi-Party Computation (DeFi-MPC). By splitting cryptographic key shares between institution-owned servers and Rox’s secure infrastructure, we eliminate single points of failure and ensure no single party ever has full control.

At the heart of our platform is the Self-Custody Manager (SCM) — giving institutions full sovereignty over where their keys are held. Clients decide the exact country, location, and datacenter where their key shares reside, as well as their backup environment. This design directly addresses rising regulatory requirements (e.g., in the UAE and other jurisdictions) that mandate local custody of key material within national borders. Rox Custody adapts seamlessly, allowing institutions to remain fully compliant while retaining global operational efficiency.

Our Transaction Policy Engine adds governance at scale, enabling granular controls such as role-based approvals, multi-tier workflows, whitelisting, limits, and automated compliance enforcement.

Beyond custody, Rox provides institutions with powerful operational infrastructure:

  • Gas Station Infrastructure – Centralize payment of network fees from a single wallet (or multiple, as configured) to cover thousands of accounts.
  • Smart EVM Wallets – One wallet address operable across multiple chains, removing multi-chain complexity.
  • Vault Infrastructure – Internal, Segregated, Consolidated, Escrow, and Gateway Vaults for treasury, settlements, trading, and cross-border flows.
  • APIs & Mobile Governance – Real-time integration into enterprise systems, with secure, policy-bound approvals anytime, anywhere.
  • Tokenization & DeFi Swaps – End-to-end lifecycle management of tokenized assets and secure, policy-governed swaps within custody.

Rox Custody is regulated under FinTRAC Canada, licensed in Bulgaria, and soon expanding into new jurisdictions. Our infrastructure is tightly integrated with Rox Chain (65K+ TPS), providing institutions with a globally compliant, regulator-friendly foundation for Web3 adoption.

By combining local key sovereignty, decentralized security, and institutional-grade compliance, Rox Custody enables banks, funds, and enterprises to manage digital assets with the same confidence as traditional finance while meeting the exact requirements of their regulators.

Use Cases

Banking & Treasury Management

Banks and large corporates need to manage digital asset treasuries with the same rigor as traditional finance. Payroll, supplier payments, and cross-entity transfers require full audit trails, approvals, and compliance oversight. Rox Custody enables institutions to build secure digital treasuries through Internal Vaults governed by the Transaction Policy Engine, where every outgoing transaction requires role-based approval, multi-level sign-off, and real-time monitoring. Regulators often mandate strict segregation of duties, and Rox provides 14 user roles, ensuring compliance officers, treasury managers, and approvers each act within their mandate. With Gas Station Infrastructure, banks can cover fees centrally, instead of maintaining balances across thousands of wallets. The result is an efficient, transparent, regulator-compliant digital treasury where institutions retain control of keys in their own chosen datacenter and jurisdiction, eliminating the risks of outsourcing to third-party custodians.

Exchange & Brokerage Operations

Digital asset exchanges and brokerages must manage high transaction volumes while guaranteeing fund segregation and compliance. Traditional custodians create risks by pooling funds or retaining sole control of private keys. Rox Custody eliminates this by offering Segregated Vaults and Consolidated Vaults designed specifically for exchanges. With segregated vaults, every user wallet is embedded with advanced governance rules, ensuring deposits and withdrawals happen only through designated addresses. With consolidated vaults, liquidity from multiple users can be routed into a master wallet for efficient liquidity management. Exchanges benefit from real-time visibility, automated transaction approvals, and complete control over policy enforcement. Furthermore, with Self-Custody Manager (SCM), exchanges can decide where key shares are stored, whether entirely in their home country or distributed across trusted locations. This ensures that operations are scalable, regulator-ready, and resilient while giving customers confidence that their assets are secured under the highest standards of governance.

Cross-Border Settlements & Escrow

International trade and B2B services often suffer from slow settlement, high costs, and trust gaps. Rox Custody addresses this through its Escrow Vault, a next-generation settlement solution where buyers, sellers, and a neutral escrow agent share custody of funds. Funds are deposited into a dedicated escrow wallet and are only released upon fulfillment confirmation, with full transparency for all parties. Every transaction is policy-bound, ensuring compliance with AML rules and regulatory oversight. By leveraging DeFi-MPC custody, institutions eliminate counterparty risk, as assets remain secured until all conditions are met. Regulators increasingly demand jurisdictional control of key shares, and Rox enables escrow providers to host SCM servers in-country, ensuring compliance with local law while enabling global settlement. Whether used for trade finance, international supply chains, or digital services, the Rox Escrow Vault provides trustless, auditable, and regulator-approved settlement infrastructure, reducing disputes, accelerating payments, and lowering costs compared to traditional correspondent banking.

Tokenization & Stablecoin Issuance

The rise of asset tokenization and stablecoins is transforming finance, but institutions require secure, compliant infrastructure to manage the entire lifecycle of digital assets. Rox Custody provides an end-to-end tokenization platform, allowing institutions to mint, burn, and transfer tokens with MPC-level security. Through the Policy Engine, minting rights can be assigned to specific wallets, ensuring only authorized entities can issue or retire tokens. Institutions can also host their SCM infrastructure locally, satisfying regulators that demand tokenization activities remain under national oversight (e.g., stablecoin issuance in UAE or EU). This is critical for CBDCs, corporate stablecoins, or tokenized assets like bonds, equities, or loyalty points. With full audit logs, customizable approval chains, and transparent dashboards, regulators and auditors can verify compliance in real time. Rox Custody empowers institutions to confidently launch tokenization initiatives that are secure, compliant, and future-ready, bridging the gap between traditional finance and the new world of programmable assets.

Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) – Institutional-Grade Wallet Infrastructure

Institutions demand wallet infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and integration-ready without the burden of building and maintaining complex custody systems in-house. Rox Custody delivers this through its Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) model. With WaaS, banks, exchanges, enterprises, and SMEs gain instant access to institutional-grade wallets powered by DeFi-MPC security, the Policy Engine, and Gas Station infrastructure, all delivered as a managed service. Wallet functionality can be embedded into any platform via APIs, supporting wallet creation, deposits, withdrawals, and approvals, each governed by customizable compliance rules. Institutions can quickly launch digital asset services such as trading, payments, and tokenization while meeting regulatory requirements. Unlike generic wallet providers, Rox Custody’s WaaS ensures jurisdictional flexibility: wallets can be deployed in-country, connected to treasury vaults, and enforced through role-based governance. From consumer-facing apps to enterprise payment rails, WaaS eliminates the trade-off between innovation and compliance, enabling institutions to scale globally with security, transparency, and regulator trust.

DeFi Trading & Liquidity Management

Institutions increasingly need access to DeFi markets, but traditional custodians require moving assets onto third-party platforms, creating counterparty risk and loss of control. Rox Custody solves this with its DeFi Swap Aggregator, enabling institutions to execute swaps and liquidity operations directly from their custody vaults. Assets never leave the secured environment until the trade is executed under pre-defined policy rules. Liquidity is aggregated across leading decentralized exchanges, ensuring institutions access the best pricing and slippage control. Governance is enforced through the Transaction Policy Engine, so compliance officers can approve or block swaps in real time, and regulators can audit transaction flows transparently. This makes Rox Custody the first solution to deliver institutional-grade DeFi access, combining market efficiency with regulatory alignment. For funds, brokers, and trading desks, it unlocks new yield opportunities and liquidity options without compromising on security or compliance.
